I am currently creating a series of paintings inspired by friends and family. These narrative paintings are about relationships between people, their objects and what they value. The still lifes, both imagined and real, include hand-made objects, creatures with wings and personal symbolism. I believe Balthus described this process best when he said, "Painting is the passage from chaos of the emotions to the order of the possible".
