The Greystone Inn II. Formerly a fine restaurant and now a real estate office, "The Greystone Inn" is with an elegant colonial interior and hardwood floors and occasional rugs. People would drive 90 miles south from St. Louis just to dine here, my dad would say; they had great cherry pie. Watercolor with India ink on Fabriano 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper, 14.5" x 21". Original for sale unframed, $1000. FAA First Prize Winner in Contest: "Court Houses, Banks and Historical Buildings", 12/17/11, out of 343 works. Available in prints to 46" x 72".

I live in an area I loosely term "Brigadoon" after the Hollywood film by that name. Some say the area here in the Ozark Mountains, including the nearby highest point in the state, Taum Sauk Lookout, is reminiscent of the highlands of Scotland where the fictional Brigadoon story takes place. As in the film, Arcadia Valley also is not on the map and in our case there is even no town with that name -- it's just a place.
