Christine Jaramillo Bass was born in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, USA. She was sixth among nine brothers and sisters, and spent her primary and high school years growing up in the small mining town, Silverton, Colorado. She attended Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
As far back as she can remember, Christine loved all artistic endeavors that were available to her, and spent as much of her free time as possible roaming the mountains, absorbing the grandeur of nature's scenic beauty.
