PD: Reproduction of vintage photograph of Hank Williams Sr. b. 1923. d, 1953. American singer - songwriter, one of the most important country music artists of all time. Born Hiram King Williams in Mount Olive, Alabama, he moved to Georgiana Alabama, and met a black street performer named Rufus Payne who gave him guitar lessons, and was a great influence on his later music style. Williams had eleven number #1 country music hits during his career, and many in the top ten charts, including; " lovesick blues ", " cold cold heart ", " Jambalaya ", " I'm so lonesome I could cry ". On January 1, 1953 while travelling in West Virginia he died in his Cadillac of natural causes.
