The secrets of the inner workings of the brain are fasinating. As a first grade reading teacher I found out that reading is in a specific site in the brain that uses the overlap of shapes such as T, O , S, to decode depth in the environment. This area has been co-opted by for use for letter, sound, and word recognition and organization. I started to think about my painting and how the brain unlocks each image and makes it real.
