Artist's Description
The name of this painting is Harvest Tree. It is a tree filled with colorful blooms to blossom into fruit for harvesting. It is painted in my folk art style and is an Acrylic and Ink on canvas. I appreciate the life cycle of fruit bearing trees and enjoyed growing up around them in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. . . . . . . . . . . In nature blossoms is a term typically used for flowers on trees that produce fruit; some of the types of fruits are plums, oranges, peaches, apples, cherries, and almonds. Typically these blooms are either pink or white in color. I have taken artist liberties and made multiple colors for my circle shaped blossoms. Encouraging the viewer use their imagination to form whatever type of fruit they may be producing.

I have been drawing, painting, and crafting since I was a child. Living in Oregon where God provided color everywhere you look, along with rainy days to encourage a lot of indoor activites, I spent hours painting and drawing. Now that I have entered the empty-nester stage of life, I am blessed with additional time to focus on art. Over the years I have found that I enjoy creating artwork with a single subject and infused with a lot of color. My style has been described as unique, colorful, and whimsical. Currently I am working with acrylics on canvas, scratch art with India ink, and watercolor. You will find that my more recent work contains several cactus paintings.
