This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

About Brandon Ivey
I became interested in photography through my passion for documenting extreme weather. I began chasing storms during my teenage years in high school. Born and raised in Kansas, I grew up around violent storms that produced extremely large hail and destructive tornadoes. I was fascinated in the science behind how it all developed. I took a couple of photography courses in college as I was working towards my degree in meteorology. Weather and landscape photography continues to be a serious hobby of mine to this day. I have been fortunate to work alongside some great meteorologists, scientists, filmmakers, camera crews, and television networks along my journeys across tornado alley.
