DescriptionThis is a painting/ illustration of a war veteran returning home/or leaving to go to war (open to interpretation) and falling into the warm embrace of a special woman in his life who does not ever want to let him go. Both the soldier and the woman can be counted as being part of the "home of the brave," as courage comes in many forms. The original painting was executed in pastel on paper in a realistic, soulful style. This print includes the text "Home of the Brave." Another version is available without text.
About Mary Fanning
Mary Fanning was born an artist. She grew up in New Jersey and wrote and illustrated books and cards since the time she was seven years old. She graduated with a BFA from the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYC, where she further developed her unique, soulful style. Mary strongly believes that all art should be God-inspired, sometimes simply beautiful and other times with deeper meaning, but always God-inspired. Her art is a reflection of her core values and beliefs and the search for truth, meaning and beauty in a world gone mad.
