Jay Kinney

Jay J. Kinney (JJ) is a freelance artist currently residing in Dubuque, Iowa. He began drawing in his preteen years... things like cars and airplanes. During his 24 year career in the U.S. Navy he didn't have much time for art; however, after his naval retirement in 1981 his artistic skills were rekindled while attending Grossmont College in southern California. Jay's art style is realism, specializing in portraits. And while he likes working with soft pastel, colored pencil, and acrylic paints, his most popular works are done in charcoal.
