I love South Beach, great food & great music. After enjoying a pleasant meal at one of the many fine dining cafes along Miami's Art Deco landscape I wandered this famous strip and checked out music coming out from the various bars. Hot latin music was everywhere along with neon light silhouettes dancing on bar tops made the atmosphere seem ever warmer that it usually is in South Florida. Pondering how to capture this feeling, I eventually decided to use as much red as possible while still creating a believable scene in order to create this painting. I also left a lot of the details out but showed some reflections in the cars to get the feeling of the neon lights this beach strip is famous for.

"Three Colors and the Truth"
My paintings reflect the world I live in or want to live in. With three primary colors I give you truth in the disguise of an illusion, as the pact between artist and audience is always an unspoken illusion.
Whatever our purpose on this planet or the universe itself is something I cannot fathom or attempt to understand. I therefore focus on what I can relate to and what I see that makes me happy. I hope these efforts will also help for you to enjoy the everyday...
