Built in 1908, and designed by architect Samuel Maclure for the family of James Dunsmuir, a British Columbian industrialist and politician, the Hatley Castle now serves as an administrative centre for the Royal Roads University. The University is situated just outside of Victoria, B.C. This looks like a country cottage, but is actually a side view of a small portion of the castle.
