Paintings on silk created by award-winning and internationally sold artist Linda Marcille. Linda creates her silk paintings using the highest quality steam set French dyes and the finest crepe de chine silk. Painting on silk is an incredibly time-consuming and unforgiving medium," notes Marcille. "As challenging as painting on silk is, however, it is also one of the most rewarding art forms."
Linda's paintings and limited edition prints are available in VT galleries and at her studio in Brattleboro VT. Artwork can be shipped and custom paintings are welcome. You may her website at http://www.crowhousestudio.com .
UPDATE: I am currently experimenting with other mediums including photography and stitch on cloth while taking a break from the demands of silk painting due to Lyme and autoimmune health issues.
Linda Eaton Marcille is an award winning artist whose paintings on silk have been sold internationally. Linda creates her silk paintings using the highest quality steam set French dyes, the finest crepe de chine silk from China and a one of a kind resist made only in New Zealand. She has taken an ancient Asian art form and infused it with her own joyful and whimsical style.
Painting on silk is an incredibly time consuming and unforgiving medium, just one drop of misplaced dye or a smudged resist line and days of painstaking work are ruined....
