Drawn the light and shadows, the peace of this scene near my home off Boise Avenue in Loveland, I parked and began work from the back of our stationwagon. I returned a few days later worked more and continued work from the photographs I'd taken. Many of us who live with a view of the foothills and 14,000 ft peaks of the rockies grow accustomed to looking for them. I never get tired of painting them.

With a passion for natural beauty, Susan has created or studied art for most of her life. In addition, she has been selling her art work for almost 25 years. While most of her awards in regional, state and national juried exhibitions have been for landscape pastels or oil paintings, she also works with acrylics and watercolors. She particularly enjoys painting outside, and is not only renewed by the contact with nature but challenged by the CHANGING LIGHT and colors.
