Jasmine is on a dangerous mission to save a herd of unicorns from imprisonment. Here she is being helped by the White Lady, a friendly ghost with a vase full of enchanted mist from which she conjures up a protective magic ring for Jasmine to wear.
I am half-Indian, half-English, and perhaps as a result am inspired by images of a mystical, magical and unreal India populated by blue or yellow elephants, jewelled peacocks and women in embroidered red-and-gold saris. I grew up in rural Lincolnshire, studied French and Spanish at the University of Oxford in the late 1970s, then drifted into computer programming and now have a job as a software developer for the Bodleian Library, Oxford, while painting as a hobby.
