I went to Jackson Hole in 1995 with my friend, Jack and his friend, Doc, who was a veterinarian. The rider on the horse is George, our trail guide for the week. We slept in tents at the base, and rode up into the mountains every day for a week, each time on a different trail, in a different direction. We’d get to the top around noon-time, have a sack lunch and spend an hour or so looking at the nature surrounding us and into the mountains with binoculars to see the wildlife. Then we’d return to the base, have supper and kick back the evening with cocktails and camaraderie.1995
