Pingvang, Korea July 21, 1931Japanese gendarmes put on bullet proof vests prior to going to the rescue of Chinese shopkeepers who were targeted by Koreans who had been angered by reports from Manchuria that a number of Koreans had been badly beaten by a Chinese mob.
