this painting was created for the recently concluded workshop production dubbed piketlayn cantata held in san francisco posters, ca. this musical production focused on filipino workers for a pineapple cannery in the philippines and a filipino caregiver in the us. this painting is inspired by the tragedy that struck filipino-american melissa roxas (www.justiceformelissa.org) when she was abducted by alleged philippine military in the philippines during her community service work in 2009. posters
