Photographer/editor based in Tiruvannamalai, South India. Authored "Arunachala Mountain of Light," a photographic study of sacred Mt Arunachala, my eponymous hometown. Personal blog: http://devgogoi.wordpress.com/ My photographic journey began in childhood, rummaging through my father's stuff and picking up his 1940s vintage Zeiss Super Ikonta C, a folding camera with leather bellows, which took 120 roll film and gave a gigantic 6 x 9 cm negative. Occasional photography with other people's cameras became a more regular affair when, thirty years later, a dharma friend gave me a 1964 vintage Nikon F 35mm SLR (no meter!).
