The �Kosher Killing� ritual is purported to be a merciful death for the poultry, though the chilcken in the background about to be slaughtered may not agree. The hasidic boy resists the urging of his father who thinks this a worthy profession for his son to learn. In a small room to the right, religious men are playing cards, a dubious pastime, but not written in the Good Book as irreligious.
