Gustave Jean Jacquet (25 May 1846 in Paris - 12 July 1909 ) was a French painter . Jacquet was a student of William Adolphe Bouguereau , which is the academic realism and hence the classical realism had prescribed. 1865 could Jacquet occasion with the support of his teacher, the great exhibition of the Parisian salons with his allegory of humility and sadness debut. Jacquet's artistic success was accompanied by the financial, so that he could afford a long and after traveling extensively through Italy, Germany and England. In his work we find remarkable portraits as well as skillful examples of genre painting .
