Description
If you've been to Rome, it's save to say before you left you probably followed the tradition of tossing your coins into the famous Trevi Fountain! After all, you didn't want it to be your last visit to the Eternal City did you?
Although I've only been to Italy once, I made sure to cast my coins into the Fontana di Trevi twice, once before I headed south to see Pompeii and a second time before leaving Italy. I wanted to be sure that first return didn't count as the trip back to Rome from my first coins! Besides, it was just a fun excuse to see the beautiful baroque fountain in that teeny, tiny little piazza again!
This square format artwork is something of my dream view of that famous fountain. If you've stood in the crowded square, you know that even without all the people, you'd never quite have this view. The narrow alleyways and streets that run throughout that part of Rome would always block the horizon. So my dream view of the Trevi was with beautiful skies and flowing waters and it was based on a host of photos I took of the Trevi during my short visit to Rome so many years ago. Just that beautiful architecture and the flowing waters without the distractions.
Even though I wouldn't quite have this view of that beautiful fountain, looking at it makes me long to go back and experience La Dolce Vita again. How about you?
