Sue Halstenberg has lived in Southern California her entire life. She studied Art History at UC San Diego before earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, where she studied under many accomplished artists. Sue started her career as a department store fashion illustrator with her drawings continuously appearing in the Los Angeles Times for over seven years.
She later attended workshops at Scottsdale Artist's School where she was most influenced by the outdoor figure painting class of George Carlson.
