I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Love dragons this card was even better in person when it arrived.
This Memorial was erected in late 2006 as a remembrance for those who gave their lives in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was brought to my attention in 2007 when local residents wanted it removed from public view and the story made the local papers. Because it was on private land there was nothing they could do to have it removed. I took up my cross so to speak and have photographed the memorial since 2007. I go out every Memorial week and shoot another photo to record the number of dead as it grows. The hill contains Crosses, Stars of David, Islamic Crescents and other religious symbols to indicate the faith of the persons who passed. This was a design I created to share with others so that these brave men and women would not be forgotten. ~DUG
I received my first camera, a Brownie Flash-six-20, from my Grandma at the age of eleven. I have had a thirst for the frozen image ever since. I am looking to retire next year and would like to pursue a second income photography career. I have joined this site as a way of getting my feet wet and looking at all the wonderful photographs others have produced I can see the competition is going to keep me on my toes! I love nothing better than grabbing my gear and heading out the door in the morning and let the lens lead me through the entire day. I love to shoot photos at family events from the side lines and catch facial reactions for use on Christmas+Birthday cards. I would love to get into a situation as a freelance photographer.

Nice collage/poster work, DUG and great description. V/L

Thanks for the compliment Kathy. I hope by showing the growing body count it will bring attention to the nonsense of war. Trying to decide what to do with all the photos once the war has ended and this memorial is dismantled.~DUG
