This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

The edge of the world is sometimes only a step away. Here at Watson Lake in Granite Dells is a place I like to go to look for that edge. Sometimes I find it, and when I do it always surprises me. There is a thin line between this world and the 'other' world and this image portrays how thin that line really is.
About Michael Smith-Sardior
Michael Sardior is an artist and naturalist living in Portland Oregon. He enjoys life around him and everything that life has to offer. Currently he is still in a lock-down mode not trusting anything coming through the media, and missing so much of what made life wonderful for him. Through his camera he captures the changes in his world and things often missed by our eyes. His initial formal training in a variety of visual media took place at Glendale Community College in the '70s, and continues today as a study in camera and expression. The common trend of taking many photos and selecting one is shunned by him in favor of capturing the image he wants in one shot.
