"Last Whisper"

... The early Spring grasses
on the edge of the surf
are tinged in sunset shades,
reddish bronze in early maturity.
The air is so still
at the end
of a brilliant day,
clear blue skies above,
deepening into dusky lavenders.
The horizon is aglow
in the last colors of the day,
golds and oranges
coloring the bit of clouds
to sweeten the emotions
of seeing the sun
go down once more.
The dune sand is almost white
in the evening glow
and gentle waves
lap at the shore.
This was captured
on the southern seashore
on Jekyll Island
on coastal south Georgia,
a beautiful natural island
with so much yet to discover...
