What I most like about this work is the Lincoln portrait. I usually go along with the crowd, but when it comes to the great 16th president of this long-great country, I will concur with the Lincoln aficionados (not the least of whom is my own mother, Cherie Jonas). And the image represented here is my favorite, as I suppose it is the favorite of a lot of other people. Civil War history is also of interest to me, so it was inevitable that I should create at least one or two works dealing with subject matter such as this.
I was born in Bozeman, was raised in part there, then in Virginia and finally in Idaho. I spent 2 years serving a church-auspiced mission in Puerto Rico from 1985-87, then returned to Idaho. Eventually I moved to Provo, Utah, for the purpose of graduating from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's in Spanish and a minor in art.
I've been an artist since age 3 and plan to keep creating through infinity. All told, I haven't sold much of my art, but I'm glad this site exists as a place as I can at least arrange to share it visually. I feel it's high time I shared some of my visions with the rest of the world.
