This oil painting is one of the two large marble lion sculptures that grace the Bridge of Lions in St. Augustine, Florida. The historic draw bridge spans Matanzas Bay, part of the Intracoastal Waterway, The ancient Spanish fort in the background is the Castillo de San Marcos National Park.
