Hello Jim, I have featured your work in the group “Double Image” – I like this work a lot – peoples thoughts run along different paths – my first thoughts were – Stalinist – Firemen – not linked of course – Stalin did not want to put out the fire – he wanted to stoke it. – Thanks for submitting the image to the group – All the best – Geordie Gardiner.

This is an image taken with a Nikon D-80 using the multiple shot function to create this double exposure. Originally shot in color I converted it to black and white then with Nik Silver Effex used their options for post processing. This was taken at night and a flashlight was used to paint the subject to aid in obtaining a ghostly surreal photo. The backdrop is actually part of the foundation for a bridge that connects Wilkes-Barre Pa to Kingston Pa. Bridge spans the Susquehanna river.I shoot and create what I see as art.I hope you enjoy my work, find something that speaks to you and would like to make your own.I accept commission assignments and would enjoy making a special piece just for you Check back often as my Best work is going to be my Next work! About Jim Cook

Jim Cook

I live in Northeast Pennsylvania and am semi - retired leaving more time for travel and photography. My body of work increasingly has become surreal, somewhat fantasy driven and somewhere just outside the realm of traditional photography though still keenly interested in landscapes, historical subjects and the everyday scenes of life. I am composing imagery that at times can be considered quirky but always interesting and timeless. These images stand out in a crowd and look terrific as prints or on canvas as well as on tote bags, throw pillows and the other fine products offered by FAA. I have a good eye for composition and able to create an image that is both pleasing to myself and others.Enjoy my work, find something that speaks to you....
