About the Image

Lizbeth On Board by Jim Coe

A portrait of Lizbeth during her last year on the Colony Ship Asimov. She reached a rank of Research Engineer 2nd class and built this particle detector for one of her researches. Part of an ongoing collection of Science Fiction images I'm creating. All these objects are full 3D models and this 2D render is made with a virtual camera inside this 3D scene. Thanks for viewing :o) _jim coe

About the Artist - Jim Coe

Jim Coe

Jim has always been fascinated by light and color and studied them extensively. He received his BFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute, where he later taught. Jim minored in printmaking, experimented with visual perception, used Ansel Adam's "Zone System" and visited top photographers. He completed a 10 day intensive workshop with Minor White. Jim helped invent "Light Shows" and invented laser and other light effects. Pioneering in computing, he built his first PC in 1976, based on the same design Bill Gates used for his first a few months earlier. Jim is now a 3D modeler, master of Photoshop, photographer and writer.                                            Images © 2011 Jim Coe. All Rights Reserved. Image use...
