Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. Locust pest control. 19th-century artwork showing Arab farmers digging a pit in which to bury locusts caught in a net (white). These are part of a series of large locust swarms that affected Algeria and many parts of North Africa in 1889. This led to deaths from famines resulting from the destruction of crops, and from cholera and other water-borne diseases caused by rotting locust bodies contaminating the water supplies. Swarms can contain tens of millions of locusts. This artwork, based on a photograph, is from the 4th volume (second period of 1889) of the French popular science weekly 'La Science Illustree'.
