Street scene in London, outside the National Gallery looking towards St Martins in the Field.It's a rainy day, which is the norm this year.The light was great and the reflections were impressive. It begged to be painted. Fortunately I had my pocket digital camera with me.
About Peter Edward Green
I have been painting and drawing since I was a child and have a lifelong interest in all types of art. I was brought up in the countryside, spending many hours wandering through fields, watching the birds and animals around me. I have happy memories of drawing birds with my father and uncle from quite a young age. Now living by the sea in Kent, England, I can understand why Turner loved to paint the light on the Kentish coast in such an extraordinary manner. Over the latter part of my "normal" working life (the day job), my attention has been drawn to figurative art, especially portraiture. Since my retirement I have thrown myself into being an Artist through the study of portraiture and figurative art.The figurative works I do tend...
