About the Image

Looking Out My Front Door by Carol Wisniewski

The Largest Earliest Accumulative Snow Fell on October 29, 2011. in New Jersey, the Mid Atlantic Region of USA Record Breaker at 22" deep. My Front Yard. Yes it's beautiful to see, but the snow was a very wet sticky one and the trees still had their leaves yet making the branches the snow stuck on very heavy. It was very cold and the snow stayed around for quite awhile. The area lost quite a few trees and large branches which fell on powerlines and roadways, paralyzing our traffic for several days until all was cleared. Many had powerlines downed and were without electric or heat for several days. It has it's beauty but then there are "Downfalls" to this too.
