This piece was inspired by my partner, a trip to Wales and an old road atlas I found and the song 'Teardrop' by Massive Attack. The Lino print was taken from the contours of an Ordnance Survey map of where we stayed in Wales and the keys of the typewriter were all the places we visited during our time in the UK.

Most of my inspiration is drawn from nature, my photography especially. Landscapes, forests, trees, mountains, waterfalls. Breathing in the tranquil air whilst trying to capture that moment provides me with no greater enjoyment. Down to the tiny details: the patterns on some old bark; silhouettes of old gnarly trees; shadows; light; patches of colour. Once the image has been attained I like to play around with the processing, changing colour levels, contrast, brightness and saturation to produce almost other-worldly, artistic images.
