I majored in art back in the day at Lynchburg College in Virginia where I was born and raised in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I believe that early exposure to the beauty of nature found in the Virginia Piedmont region inspired my desire to create artwork and photography to capture an impression of that loveliness. In recent years I have made my home in the Eastern part of South Carolina where available subjects include black water rivers, marshes and coastal scenery.
