Linda Simon has many memories of Mayday as a child. She remembers spending time the day before Mayday, making Mayday baskets to hang on selected neighbors door handles. She carefully made them out of construction paper and paper dollies, many times personalizing them with crayons for the persons intended to receive. She carefully picked as many of the the dainty purple blue flowers she could in the morning of this yearly ritual. All the children in the neighborhood would all gather and discuss what person they wanted to out run or get caught to receive their kiss. The one thing Ms. Simon always wanted to do on Mayday but never did, was make a Mayday pole, so here it is...enjoy!

Linda made use to all that was offered in High School, she took Mechanical drawing, a two year trade school commercial art program, and almost triple majored in Art. Her artist influences include Norman Rockwell, Edgar Degas, Renoir and Nicolas Poussin's "Adoration of the Shepherds". Linda has quality, Contemporary Fine Art based on the enduring aesthetic principles of the old masters, using faces of her family, pets, and dear friends holding hints of Linda's life.
