I am fairly new at raising chickens. I purchased 24 chickens to raise as butcher chickens and 4 laying hens before the Summer. The hens have laid good eggs every day but I need to do better on fattening up the butcher ones. Oreo is the favorite rooster. Within about two weeks I think, the kids and I will attempt to serve OREO for dinner. I will try to let you know how that worked out. My Youngest tells me that she will become a vegetarian.
