Artist's Description
I used to play down here as a child. This is the English side of the Irish sea. The tide is ferocious and goes out a long way into Liverpool bay. You can just make out the wind farms a few miles off the coast. This area used to be land thousands of years ago and sometimes after a bad storm ancient artifacts are washed up from the settlements that used to be out there.

My art and photography is all about discovery. I make images to help me determine what something is ‘all about’. Small things fascinate me, I think tiny details are intrinsically interesting so a lot of my work involves getting up close to the subject matter. Light, colour texture, decay, positive and negative forms, nature and visual ambiguity also play a large part in my portfolio.
