The Mollohan Mill was constructed in 1894 by Bernard Mollohan on the site of an earlier mill that was built prior to the Civil War. The mill operated from that date (1894) until 1951, when a major flood destroyed it's dam & washed away one of the water wheels. During it's heyday it was said to be one of the most prosperous enterprises in the region.
