Artist's Description
It had rained that night, and the foliage was still wet. As the morning sun was hitting the leaves, they appeared glossy and displayed very intense color. I heard a sound in the hedge to my left, and when I turned, it was the neighborhood Toucan. I carried this image in my mind for two years before it crystalized enough to paint. There are two originals of "Morning In The Garden" one on Arches Aquarelle Rag and the other though similar is very large, 36 "x 56" on canvas.

FAVORITE/LIKE... BEAUTIFUL work!! :) Ahhh! Love this because Hibiscus are one of my FAVORITE flowers! and funny enough, I just posted my first images EVER on FAA, and one of them is this SAME Hibiscus!! :) My problem though, that I'd like to ask you about is this - do you happen to know the species of your Hibiscus in this picture? I lost the tag to mine and would like to purchase another one but can't if I don't know the name of it (silly them ;) ) Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thx! ~JO
