Lake Michigan mornings can be a special time, the lake brings interesting weather and interesting scenery. I often go to the lakeshore to take photos or to simply walk and enjoy the moment.
This place happens to be the beach at a local park, Sheridan Park, The piers extend out into the lake and in the winter time, the ice forms over them. This year was a mild winter though and while the water is freezing, there is little ice to be seen as in the past.
I stood for a while shooting the water and the piers, the wildlife floating around while precariously navigating the frozen piers running from the oncoming waves and always on the lookout for the one that comes bursting through a hole eroded into the cement and covers your equipment in frozen ice and water.
