About Caroline Street
BIOGRAPHY www.carolinestreetart.com / I am a South African artist, poet, and amateur photographer from Mpumalanga, South Africa. I was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in Cape Town and Phalaborwa (a small town in the far north of South Africa), where I grew up as a 'bush baby'. This was the seed of my love for the environment. The environment in those days was unspoiled and completely natural. It was a bush existence. The Kruger National Park was within walking distance from my home. Leopard, baboon, elephant etc., were common sightings in and around the little town, with some fatalities. I don't know Jennifer, the dust I'm allergic to the mask is claustrophobic so I will just have to go with the way I do it, lol. Not so bad, but thank you for the idea!

Gosh, I hadn't even thought about the physical discomfort. I wonder if you could shape the pieces with a dremel tool instead? It's noisy, but no glass shards. (Just have to wear a mask because of the dust.)

Thanks very much Jennifer for your appreciation. I have the patience but the cutting of the tiles becomes quite physical and my wrists pain after a while and my fingers get tender from tiny glass cuts. I could use gloves but this slows the process down.
