Highland Cattle are a Scottish breed of cattle with long horns and wavy coats which are colored either, black, red, or off white. The breed was developed in the Scottish Highlands and Western Isles of Scotland. Breeding stock has been exported to the rest of the world since early 20th century. The breed was developed from two sets of stock, one originally black, and the other reddish. The meat tends to be leaner than most beef because they get insulation from their coat and not fat.
Photography has been a lifelong interest of mine and now that I am retired, the free time has allowed me to devote more time and energy to viewing the world through my lens. Challenging myself to capture the beauty and contrast of nature through changing light, creating powerful images, is my passion. Additional galleries focusing on other subjects can be found here with more to come. I am now traveling as a full-time RV in my motor home. I could be anywhere in North America on a photography shoot.
