There's something about a Mountain Goat that looks majestic to me. I can't quite put my finger on it - possibly because they're actually not native to Colorado. Regardless, they look so comfortable and at ease around our high mountain peaks. For me, they add so much to the experience of exploring a fourteener I can't even put it into words. I'll just say it's something I very much appreciate being able to see. This image in particular stands out to me as really showing the majesty of a Mountain Goat in Colorado's beautiful mountain scenery.

This adult female goat is still carrying the last of her old winter coat. She came up the mountain in a herd of 20-25 goats before crossing the parking lot to hang out by the Castle In The Sky. This capture was taken right before she crossed the parking lot at an elevation of 14,130 feet near the peak of Mount Evans in Colorado.
