I took interest in art at an early age. I kept a sketchpad with me and often tested my skills by drafting sketches of symbols, cartoon characters, shoes, and cars. I enrolled in my first art class my sophomore year in high school, this is when I began learning techniques that would enhance my skill and flourish my works. During my sophomore year of high school I was introduced to the medium charcoal. I became so comfortable with this medium that I took first place in a citywide art competition the same year.
