About the Image

Ms. Ida by Rosemarie E Seppala

Ms. Ida Williams portrait was a joy to take at one of her favorite places in this world. Woodland Park, Michigan at Brookings Lake. Where she has caught many a fish, fishing to the wee hours of the night by it's shore. Taken in front of her son, David's home there. Many times the fish caught were cooked up for her breakfast. She has told us many stories of her life as a girl in the south of the United States, where her father and she would grow watermelons. Ms. Ida told us how to pick out a ripe watermelon and how she would go with her father to the melon fields and cut open a ripe melon to eat right then and there. "Woooo Wheeee!" That was one sweet melon.
