About Alasdair Turner
A local resident of Seattle, Alasdair Turner has been photographing the Pacific Northwest and Alaska since 1991. It is not unusual to spot him camera ready on the side of the road or while tied in crossing a glacier. Uninhibited by terrain or the wet, cold weather that distinguishes the Pacific Northwest, he captures the fleeting moments that make the mountain experience unforgettable. Although mountain terrain has marked his life since his first Munro ascent (Ben Lomond, 974 m) during his childhood in Scotland, his works encompass his love of fishing villages, aircraft, architecture, technology, and flora.
