Photograph "Mud Season" (with border) captures two draft horses waiting to go back into the woods for another twitch of trees. The winch in use is a home made piece of equipment which included very old fashioned wheels. It is "Mud Season", a time frame towards the end of winter when the snow recedes, ground warms, thaws, and mud can be everywhere! This photograph, by Joy Nichols, has a decorative brown border.
