Wilson Dam on the Tennessee River at Muscle Shoals, Alabama, in 1949. I took this picture, featuring my friend's brand new convertible, while I was still in high school. That summer the local newspaper hired me to be their press photographer. That was fun, but I was headed for an engineering career that fall.

Even now that I'm in my 90s, and with over a 1,500 images from which to choose, I still look forward to the next decade and reaching 100 and more.
