Haldor Lillenas was born in 1885 and died in 1959. This hymnal was (C) in 1938 and renewed in 1966, this is one of original hymn sheet.
On the very bottom of the page you can read the date of the copyright music (1938) and the renewed in 1966, by Lillenas Publishing Co.

As an artist, J.D. grew up in Southern Ca back when they had farms lands and orange groves.
