This portrait is of a mystery man who seems a lot like a "Bogart Character", with his "I will get you, if you cross me" eyes and the signature "cigarette" between his fingers. "Bogart" is a slang term derived from the last name of famous actor Humphrey Bogart because he often kept a cigarette in the corner of his mouth, seemingly never actually drawing on it or smoking it, to act or move in a tough or aggressive way, a person who hogs or monopolizes something, to bully or force.

Since I was a child I have always been interested in all forms of art. I have trained in Indian Classical dancing called "Bharatnatyam" and also in Indian classical music called "Carnatic Music". I have been very creative as a child with my little crayons and water colors, designing and making my own greeting cards for friends and family. But one time I saw a drawing, drawn only using pencil, hence was black and white. Yet I could see so many colors(may be in my imagination ;) ) and so much depth in the drawing. I was fascinated by how a pencil could be used to create such wonderful three dimensional figures with such depth using only grey, black and white shades! Thus began my journey into the world of Pencil Art and I am still learning...
